"Merlot" originally from France's Bordeaux Wine Region is the second most grown grape in the area to Cabernet Sauvignon, these two Varietal wines are often combined to produce a classic blend, so give this a try, make a box of each and blend prior to bottling! the Soft and Fruitiness of a Merlot combines well with the harder Tannins of Cabernet Sauvignon. Produce from this kit, definitely lives up to it's highly acclaimed reputation especially if infused with French Oak Chips at the start of the first fermentation (also available from Balliihoo) and then finally left to mature in the bottle for a few Weeks, Months or Years . . . . Patience is a virtue!
